Has anyone read the book?

"A Nefarious Plot"? I get the impression from the trailer and what people have said, this movie has little in common with the book, which was highly political and sickening for a Christian to read. Some, here, seem to think this movie has Christian overtones. Others think it has no subtext at all -- just an edge-of-the-seat thriller.

Don't ask me to watch the movie. I've given Steve Deace the last dime I'm going to give him. When I said the book was sickening, I meant the book was really sickening...for a Christian, anyway. Having the demon, Nefarious, calling my Father in heaven his "deadbeat dad" over and over, was more than I could stomach. His championing Roy Moore was a bit too much, as well.

Well, I wouldn't call him a 'deadbeat dad' but I'm sure not going to get on my knees and praise him forever for how he's run things in this lifetime.

God gives mankind the ability to choose. He's not going to compel you to do anything.

reply

Yeah, why would a demon ever say mean things about God. They should have praised him through the movie and be all sad that they are in God's doghouse.
