Granted I haven't seen the thread in question, but wouldn't people of different backgrounds interpret this movie differently?

Was this supposed to be "pro-religion?" Because I didn't get that from the original post, in fact I never saw anything religious or anti-religious about it at all. I thought the poster was casting doubt that people genuinely saw the movie. shadracht just posted a funny reply to this thread that reminded me of a song with a relevant chorus.
