Better than Brave?

I thought it would be better, but it wasen't.

Oh gods no.

Monsters University is a good movie....but to compare it to Brave is just unfair.

Way better.

I think they're about equally rubbish, this one just felt worse because of how good Monsters INC. was.

I like brave but this was much more entertaining and funny. this had so much going on. so many characters,so many jokes. it was great

It really just depends on the type of entertainment you are seeking. I enjoyed both movies for entirely different reasons. Brave is a pretty serious movie with comic relief sporadically given throughout the entirety of the film. MU was just pure fun with some occasional "moral of the story" moments.

So I can't really compare the two films. I can compare screenplays, animation, scenery, voice acting, etc. in which case I'd give it to Brave. However when thinking about my enjoyment level after watching both films, it would then go to MU. Brave is like that movie that you 'should' appreciate due to homages to Scotland, the cast, and overall effort into bringing the film to life, while MU is the film you want to watch when you just want pure fun. And a film that can deliver on that is extremely considerable.

I don't like comparing Pixar films. They are too diverse from one to the next. It is better to compare sequels/prequels to each other.
