The no dialogue gimmick was so forced
So many moments where realistically there'd be some dialogue. Grated on me after a while.

shareFor example? I felt it was very natural, as everybody in town hated the girl...
shareThe flashback scenes. The girl swearing on muttering to herself about the crazy things going on around her. People talking to eachother when she's walking through town. The husband saying something to the girl after she got spat on. It's often unnaturally silent for the sake of it. Very gimmicky.
sharePeople in the town talk in that scene, If you hear with attention. And the people doesn't use to talk to themselves when they are alone. And it's logical the cop didn't say anything to the girl who killed his daughter... What could you say?
shareNot a single piece of audible dialogue in the town. That's unnatural. And yes, people do talk to themselves in extremely stressful situations. And that was a bizarre situation she was in.
shareNormal people talk to themselves in extraordinary situations, like having physical pain, fighting, etc.
shareI was looking for English subtitles for this, and I finally found... none mentioned in time that they are not talking
