Not Completely An Overlooked Classic

Between 1967 and 1989, one of the only most memorable Walt Disney Animation Studios features of that period is the Rescuers. Mostly because it had been faithful to the original books, including Miss Bianca, and has the humor and heart that most WDAS films have - in spite of certain flaws on story and/or character developments. Between 1999 and 2009, one of the only most memorable WDAS features of that period is Lilo and Stitch. Apparently, Lilo and Stitch was much more recognizable than the Rescuers was, because the story, the worlds and the characters are more relatable. Plus, WDAS pushed production design to a whole new level rather than technology. The film was even successful enough to spawn off its own TV series and theme park attractions, compared to how the 1977 film spawned off.

The main point of this topic, however, is whether the 2011 version of Winnie the Pooh should be largely forgotten, because of its box office performance, or not. To me, there are two good reasons why Pooh is still a memorable part of the Disney Revival Era:

1. The film is much more faithful to the A.A. Milne and Ernest H. Sheperd's book alongside the original Pooh featurettes than the Rescuers Down Under was.
2. Winnie the Pooh has currently the best overall Rotten Tomatoes critical reception, as 90% from All Critics, in the Disney Revival Era. In Rotten Tomatoes, it also stands above newcomers in critical reception: Wreck-It Ralph and Frozen. It's even a close second to the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, compared to how the 1990 sequel followed up the Rescuers.

So who agrees with this and who disagrees with this?

I think it should be remembered. Winnie The Pooh is a childhood classic for us all.
