whoa, how many years did Lily grow over the summer?
She looks like she went straight from 6 to 12 years old.
She looks like she went straight from 6 to 12 years old.
Too bad they haven't introduced her to an acting coach.
It's incredibly ironic that they booted Lily-1.0 for being too emotional and now they've got Lily-2.0 who is as emotional as a piece of chalk. She's only reading her lines and not bringing anything from paper to screen; prime example was this latest episode and her resenting Dwight- staging alcohol under his bed, and a prime opportunity for her to really show her talent for more than set dressing. Instead we get more of the lackluster reading with nothing even remotely reactionary to those around her.
Either get her an acting coach or fire her current one.
Agree totally with your post. Her acting was horrible in this ep. Really noticeable. To the OP's point, yeah she did seem to age quite a bit from last season. I used to like her quips. Now she sounds bratty when she does them.
shareMaybe the point is she's supposed to sound bratty and deadpan. It's not really a problem to me.
shareWith so many stereotypes in the rest of the cast, it's great to see an Asian kid who's a caustic diva instead of an overachieving violin-playing mathlete.
shareBeing deadpan requires acting skill, of which lily has none. Do you guys really confuse wooden and stiff with deadpan like this?
