Sensationalistic Tripe

This show is so redundant. Every single day it's, "You're fat! You could DIE!" It's interesting that it only deals with a limited number of dumbed-down health topics. Diet, diabetes, weight, and cosmetic issues.

Dr. Oz is overly familiar with his (seemingly gullible and uninformed guests) and asks them to partake in ridiculous, far-fetched activities on a daily basis.

This show (and it's equally ridiculous cousin, The Doctors) is painful to watch. It saddens me that this show has fans.

Agreed! See my thread on the Cheese Factor. We're all over that topic! The amount of actually useful information on that show could be condensed into five minutes. He should just do a blog, and not a network show.

The overall message I'm getting from the show is that we're all going to have our lives cut short because of all the chemicals, additives, bad nutrition, lack of exercise, etc. in our daily lives. We're doomed, for no matter what steps we take, every day we learn of some new health hazard that we didn't expect to find and have been living with for years. It's always something.

Every day these shows make recommendations on what foods to eat improve your health, but most of it is based on annecdotal evidence. There was one segment where a woman was saying what foods will cure what illness, then on the last one she said "and this one is actually based on scientific evidence!" So what was all the rest of your segment, just B.S.?
