I luv Dr. Oz. My only gripe is that he sometimes doesn't listen.

A lady asked Dr. Oz what he recommended for the discoloration around her eyes. She said she tried a bunch of treatments and lotions to no avail. She couldn't be clearer. She was NOT asking about the puffiness under her eyes; nevertheless, Dr. Oz went on and on about puffiness and bags, had his fellow experts go on and on about puffiness and bags, even made the lady participate in a demonstration about bags, and never went on to answer her question.

Great for those are interested in puffiness, but he did not help the lady at all, because his info was not what she wanted to know.

Of course, in front of millions of viewers, she was too nice to say otherwise.

This doesn't happen all the time, but enough that it's clear he has to slow down a bit. In the attempt to try and answer as quickly as possible to get everything in, he skips the info that was requested in the first place.

The above is my only gripe, because I think he's great. I have learned so much from him, much that I forgot from high school biology.

i totally agree. Sometimes i watch the show, and go umm wtf he totally didn't answer the question.

He might have assumed she meant bags under the eyes, because discoloration can be fixed simply by make-up. Bags are more important subject.

Another reason might be because Bags and discoloration are very related. Maybe the woman's question was answered and you didn't realize it.

Another reason might be because no one really knows the answer to it. Maybe it's a rare case for someone to get discoloration, maybe it's genetic and there can be nothing done about it.

It's bad idea to make assumptions. Dr. Oz tries very hard to answer everyone.

You say it's bad to make assumptions; yet, you assume that he assumed that she meant puffiness.

No. He simply did not answer her question.

I've saw the show and its repeat. Her question was regarding discoloration.

Bags may be a more important topic, but not to her; else, she would have asked about her bags/eye puffiness. I also was more interested in discoloration than puffiness.

If Dr. Oz had answered her question and if makeup was the only thing to help her, then Dr. Oz would have said it. He has recommended makeup to many people when there is no alternative, e.g., in cases of birthmarks on face.

Thanks to my DVR, I have watched every one of Dr. Oz' shows and treat repeats as refresher courses.

It is not that he purposely dodges questions; he does not. It's just that occasionally he does not answer the question at hand.

He didn't "assume" anything. He clearly said "maybe".
