The Van: an important motif?
So something that immediately got my attention was how the van the female drives around doesn't display any sort of manufactures logo on the steering wheel, Which is pretty rare for any vehicle. Plus the only time she feels comfortable and in her zone is while she's picking up random dudes while in the van. Even before she reaches her epiphany or whatever towards the latter part of the film. (She's not all chatty and friendly when she goes into the club where the second guy is seduced). So the way I see it, the van plays somewhat of a major role. I think it's reminiscent of her identity. How it doesn't display a logo on its steering wheel and how it kind of serves as the place where she doesn't feel exposed. its a way of presenting her sense of alienation from humanity. Thoughts anyone?
