why were the guys shown aroused when they stripped?

Did the movie require it or the untrained extras couldn't just keep it down..

Does this really require explanation? Because they were trailing ScarJo's sweet, sweet behind.

Anyone here mentions Hotel California dies before the first line clears his lips.

Loll..I was hoping for something perhaps a little less jovial. It does not occur usually in film to show an erect penis unless as they say, the story needs it'. I am wondering what part of this story would require it.. maybe to show the 'strong pull' of the alien's seduction.. I don't know.

Or maybe they were just happy to see her as you said..

I think that's just it. I think it worked within the context of the film; definitely added an extra layer of the creepy and surreal.
