Poking fun at 'Because I was LOADED okay'

I don't get it.

Was the line/scene/acting really that bad? If so why? Based on what?

I get that this particular moment in the series has come under some ridicule but I honestly don't get it.

Benford had a vision of the future where he had reverted to his alcoholism, was about to be gunned down and had also lost his wife to a stranger who he later met for real.

He was under a lot of pressure and I think more than anything was so mad at himself that he was drining again (in his FF). I don't think he reacted in too unreasonable a way.

What does everyone else think?

Can anyone tell me what the joke is?
