This show kind of pissed me off.

It had SO MANY good ideas, and SO MUCH potential, but it just pissed it away with a good deal of weak dialogue, questionable acting, poorly-chosen focus, and a disproportionate number of boring/infuriating characters.
I liked this show, I really did, don't get me wrong, but I feel I could have LOVED it.
I can understand why it was canceled, though. I thought its pacing was often sluggish, and I didn't even have to wait a week between episodes.
I'm definitely not the only one who thinks this way. I saw another poster call this a "caviar idea" with a "pork and beans" execution, and I find that quite fitting.

Yes, absoultey. There's two reasons a show can suck: There's a bad concept and then there's bad execution. Flashforward had a good concept but poor execution. Just as with the V remake, the writers had some great ideas and you can really sense that they TRIED to make it work but in the end it failed due to terrible dialogue, bad acting and cheesy CGI. It's a shame really.

I completely agree. Some of the worst acting I've seen in something with a budget as big as this. The actors are decent in other things, so the writers (unrealistic dialogue) and directors (terrible acting) must be to blame. Goes to show that you can't just give a good idea to any hacks in Hollywood.
