This isn't the only time there's been a random kangaroo, is it? I know there was one in the book Lucifer's Hammer and that was post apocalyptic. But I seem to remember seeing one in other movies or series. Bigger meaning? Conspiracy? Or are they just aliens with a clevar disguise?

Kangaroos are native to Earth last time I checked.. stands to reason they'd pop up sometimes on TV.

I rather like the Kangaroo Conspiracy theory: it certainly has the virtue of whimsy above the Trilateral Commission, Illuminati, Bilderbergs, etc. Clearly it's been too long since I saw Lucifer's Hammer, as I do not recall the roo (how could I forget?!?). Perhaps it was a secret roo & only appeared in certain volumes?! That makes me hoppin' mad! (*groan*)
