Maybe in an alternate future there'll be a season 2.

Brains are good, especially when sauteed with carmelized onions.

sometimes funerals are delayed by investigations into the death. or it could be that they scheduled a memorial for that date as they were planning to get married on that date (because of the misunderstood flashforward)
