Yeh i was so excited when I found out about it because the book is so great. HOpe it lives up to my expectations.

*** SORTA SPOILERS BELOW ***

Not sure if any of you guys have seen it yet, but I don't think it comes close to the book. An awful lot of it is changed (for time? for screen slickness? I dunno) and my favourite chapter (when they camp at the beach) is shrunk to around 90 seconds on screen and has no resonance whatsoever. Also gone is Zoe's 'revenge' at the end as she is not seen again once she leaves the school. Graham is turned into a really stupid 'TV mystic' character for laughs, and it doesn't work at all.

It's still a good film but I'm really glad I read the book first.
