While watching the trailer does anyone else think that, in some angles, Yasmin Paige looks a bit like a younger Keira Knightley? Something about the mouth and lips make some of her facial expressions make me think of Knightley.
This world is a comedy to those that think, a tragedy to those that feel.
I've now seen the whole film and I didn't find her like Keira Knightley at all, thank goodness. I'm not a Knightley fan; her performances often seem very mannered and she has some very idiosyncratic facial ticks that she seems to use in every role and even in real life, but to be fair, she's probably unaware of them.
Yasmin Paige's performance in "Submarine" film was wonderful. She strongly reminded me of Kelly Macdonald in "Trainspotting" - same hairstyle and same wonderfully deadpan delivery of lines. I think she has a great future.
I don't mean acting, since I haven't seen Paige acting yet. I mean simply physical look. I find their faces very similar, and especially the way they both have very prominent lips.
This world is a comedy to those that think, a tragedy to those that feel.
Yasmin has a passing resemblance to a young Frances Ruffelle (Eliza Doolittle's mum). The bob hairstyle makes her almost recognisable and she looks a bit fuller round the face.
Peckham's boring and flat on Sundays. In fact, England's boring and flat on Sundays.
