I was wondering whether the main character was inspired by Harold from the film Harold & Maude?

Also, when Oliver talks about Jordana not liking things to be "too romantic" so he takes her down to his favorite industrial shipyard or what-have-you, right as they sit down with the sun setting and the cranes in the background reminded me a whole lot of a similar scene from 'Harold & Maude'.

Apparently, I just launch myself into space.
I definitely realized some similarities between Oliver and Harold as well. They looked similar and were very unconventional and had similar modes of behavior, if that makes sense.
