Whirlpool setting real? What is it and where?

It's the Pontsticill Reservoir and the 'whirlpool' is called a bell-mouth spillway. It's pretty cool.

your answer makes me deep in the google research about bell-mouth spillway. in conclusion, now i have a phobia for a bell-mouth spillway. it's gloriously terrifying
