I think it's a fair rating. If anything it's maybe a little generous.

Well, I just watched this again, and up my rating. Now giving it a solid 8, where I'd been unsure about a 7 before. Really lovely film. Looking forward to the Double tomorrow :^)

I think it's pretty fair--I gave it a 7 myself. But then, I actually treat the rating system as a ten point scale, not (as some seem to do) as equivalent to a four-or-five-star scale that starts at 5 or 6, with those ratings being reserved for awful movies.

To me, 6 is still a good movie that I would recommend; 5 is just okay, so-so; 4 is almost good but just barely misses; 3 is bad; 2 is terrible; 1 is appalling.
