Having seen all the reviews and positive comments this film was getting I thought I'd check it out and to be honest was completely disappointed and surprised by the positive feedback people have been giving this, I felt the main character was a complete *beep* with nothing likeable to him and not one remote likeable quality to his character he was far to selfish arrogant and up his own arse along with the film it's self, that seemed like it was trying way to hard to be quirky arty and random and in my eyes just came of completely pretentious and dull, thoughts on this ? was I the only one who felt this try hard film was well and truly overrated ?

I feel the same. Oliver was a self-absorbed idiot who only thought of himself throughout the entire film. The only exception I can think of is when he felt bad after bullying the girl. Jordana was just as bad and I don't understand what we were supposed to think of her. Was she supposed to be likable? I didn't like her at all. She mercilessly torments a girl and after the girl falls into the water, soaked and humiliated, Jordana runs away laughing. But then later when Jordana's feelings are hurt, we're supposed to be sympathetic towards her? I agree that the whole thing just came off as pretentious and "look how quirky and outlandish we are!". I did like the father, though.

You are basically explaining the whole film.its a very good film.if you don't like it you obviously don't appreciate good films.

Oh please beatrice100, stop yourself. We all have our opinion, just because you loved it, doesnt mean it´s a fact that this movie is good, it just suits your mind. That all.

I found it VERY boring and low quality in all aspects. But that doesnt make it a fact either, that this movie is boring. Just boring for me. I like other types of movies, probably many you dont like. Should I then tell you, that you dont appreciate good movies either ??

Each person each opinion.

I try to watch all kind of movies from all kind of countries, years, directors, some I love, some I hate. But I watch them to the end. You should try that too.

I enjoy films. I watch a wide variety of films and I watch them all to the end to give them a chance.im just stating that I find it a good film and that all the bad things the other person was explaining a bout the film was the main plot. Maybe it's because of your age it doesn't relate to you in some way?

Can't you just accept that some people for whatever reason, may not like something that you do like?

I don't love her.. She kicked me in the face!!

I agree with you and Bianco512. This is a minor film, with good actings and some nice landscape shoots, but somehow those features does not fullfill me.
