Is Jordana a manic pixie dream girl?
I would say yes.
shareShe is all that and more. Smart, witty and pretty, with eyes you could gaze into for the long haul. She can burn the hair off my leg anytime.
shareThe problem is, if she was real, she would not be dating guys like Oliver. The plot of this film is really unrealistic if you really think about it.
shareWhile Oliver didn't deserve Jordana, he was wise enough to know and admit it. He took a bloody nose rather than call her what the bully demanded. By the end, he is smart enough to follow her lead. The most unrealistic thing in the film was Graham's mullet.
shareunrealistic movie made for young people who like teen romance. meh.
I like Harold and Maude better.
Oliver himself is a bully, he bullies Zoe and then gets Jordana as a reward. The message is really beautiful.
shareI didn't like the bullying either, but it's not like Jordana threw herself at him the second he started bullying Zoe, she actually kissed him when she found out about the pamphlet he made to try to help Zoe.
shareI knew just such girls when I was a teenage boy and young man. She is a sexy sociopath. She plays games with naive boys' emotions because it entertains her. She discards them when she gets bored. Much later, when these boys are mature men, they are grateful they dodged a bullet and didn't end up married to her.
shareShe's too fat for a pixie.
