perd hapley

i couldn't take this movie seriously after they planted the guy who plays perd hapley as a reporter in the beginning. were they trying to be funny or did they just choose him for the role randomly? i mean, i love that guy, but it was weird. and i know there were supposed to be a lot of comedic breaks, but too many of the jokes fell flat. should've gotten someone besides taylor kistch. he's just a talentless meathead imho, okay on action but not a good actor and not funny either. he was just waaaaay too corny for me. he's like the poor man's timothy olyphant.

i second what somebody else said though--rihanna and the guy who played ordy were great. and i liked captain nagata, too.
