How did the two spike balls that destroyed the helicopters at the navy base etc escape the dome ?

I think Hawaii and all the islands are inside the dome. Or maybe things can leave the dome just not enter. So they can fire out, we can't fire in.

Were you not paying attention at all? Nothing gets in or out. Not even radio signals. That was made abundantly clear.
