it's really pretty decent

This was fun and def much better than transformers crap. Don't know how the budget went so astronomically high...a $300M worldwide take would have warranted a sequel had they not spent so much for this one.

It was great entertainment, and that's all I ask from movies like this.

It came on tv today. I didn't catch the beginning, I went in at the time the brother died, and also didn't catch the end after they sunk the big guy.

I usually don't like movies with a ton of CGI, I hate it because I can see and see it's fake and lacks realism, but this one was tolerable. I could never really get into the Transformers series and all that and this seemed to be made in that direction with some alien race with a ton of high level tech and nanotech coming to earth, but for some reason I enjoyed this more.

As cool as it was to see some old vets manning some old tech on an old battleship and kicking the tail of some high tech alien group who is much more superior and against all odds (USA! USA! USA! ...and Japan!), it did lack some realism. They have all that tech, but can't handle some old battle ship making a turn because their weapons can't turn more than about 20 degrees? C'mon now... But it was still pretty coo..

Honestly, I think the sound effects and music made it much better. If people are caught up about how it relates to the game, it probably did as good as you could possibly do while putting it in a real scenario. Can't think of many other ways to incorporate it that would have been much better.

miles better than any/all of the Transformer films....can`t see why it gets all the hate.
