2 questions about the last fight scene

Ok, I had 2 questions from the point where they take over the Missouri. 1) when they move the toy vending machine, was it really necessary to slam it down and shatter glass everywhere? Why didn't they just move it? That part annoyed me. 2) they had most of the John Paul Jones survivors at their disposal, and were trying to man the Missouri on an already skeleton crew. Why did only 5 or 6 of them go on board. Makes no sense with as few bodies as they had to just leave everyone else on land and say "we got this", and then say you are short handed. I am not taking this movie too seriously, and actually enjoyed it for what it was. But they never explained why no one else joined them on the Missouri. Did anyone else wonder this?

I wondered about the game machine and finally got the point.

I used to be good at playhouse claw machines but I think the people who ran the machines allowed people to grab something enough to keep us coming back.

But there’s lots of claw machines that have all the adjustments loosen here, let go there so that the only way anyone is going to get anything out of that machine—-us if it tips over and breaks ;)
