I'm curious as to why Jerry did not track down Peter Vincent sooner.
Peter publicly advertises his show and reputation as a Vampire Expert so it would not be difficult for Jerry to find him.
Jerry doesn't seem the type to leave any survivors so why didn't he track down Peter during one of his shows where he would not need permission to enter? He avoided the Penthouse for its protection but the stage is free.

Just speculating, but I think Jerry didn't track down Peter during one of his shows because he doesn't seem to make a public spectacle of his attacks on people. But actually, I don't see why Jerry would even bother tracking down Peter, who didn't seem to be a threat to Jerry at all.

OR, maybe Jerry was planning something after he ran out of victims in the housing development.

Indifference seems to be the best bet, but I wish the film had a reference or line about the real reason. He seemed to mark out Ed for taking an interest in his activities, so why not turn Peter in the first place?

As much as this film was about Charley's personal journey, it was also about Peter facing his demons. Literally.

I think it's because Peter amused him. Instead of cowering as most traumatized children of Jerry's victims did, Peter thrived. Peter made a spectacle of his research/continued denial.

Plus, I read Jerry as bi/pan (I mean, who would be hetero after a couple centuries? C'mon now) and, well, Peter is a very pretty man, let's be honest here. So I like to think Jerry lazily had plans to recruit Peter into his "tribe" once he had a decent army built up. Just watch the 'You have your father's aim...' scene. He could clearly kill Peter at any moment, but he's toying with him instead, like a cat with an injured mouse.

He doesn't outright 'turn' him, like the bully and stoner friend, nor drug him like he did with Charlie's gf. Which goes back to my earlier theory of Jerry really, *really* wanting to keep Peter around as a plaything... at least for a while.

Becaue Peter was a poser. He bought into the 'mainstream' scene of the occult and Vampire mythology, and collected Vampire artifacts for show. Several times he was seen to be a real coward behind the scenes and, when Charlie asks him how to kill a Vampire, Peter responds with 'how the fück should I know?' Being that, Peter puts on a good show but otherwise he is of no real threat to anyone (he was about to run away before Charlie changed his mind).

That, or Jerry knows he has multiple weapons and is weak against him - until he has Vampire companions to help take him down
