See it with your girlfriend or your spouse...but maybe not your mother!

Well I loved it! If you want a lighthearted romp with an adorably clueless lead man (Hugh Dancy) and a feisty, modern leading lady (Maggie Gyllenhaal) this is your film. No it is not Oscar material but if you need a laugh, here you go.

And tell your mother to see it... with her friends!

I dearly love a laugh.

I took my mother to a movie years ago and she came away quoting her favorite line: "Get away from me or I swear to God, I've got a knife and I'll cut your f--king balls off!"

I think she'd have loved this one.

My husband and I will recommend movies to his parents because they love their Netflix account as we do.

So tonight, when we finished this one, I asked him: "Do you want to recommend this to your mother or should I?"

If you're too old to cut the mustard, you can always lick the jar.

You can still make recommendations on Netflix? I thought Netflix dropped their "Friends" feature?

We keep track of good movies to recommend to friends and family, by word of mouth.

I am not close with my mother... I moved my dad in because he has been ill. We watched it last night. He laughed his butt off, it was soo funny! And pretty cool!!

Oh that's alright then. I thought from your subject line that you were suggesting mothers wouldn't enjoy it.

My sister went to see Porky's with my mother. When the famous Mike Hunt scene occurred ("Has anyone in the parking lot seen Mike Hunt?") my sister didn't get it. Mum had to explain it to her later.

Having said that, my brother took mum to see a strip show in Thailand. I'm not sure she ever recovered from the ping pong ball show...
