Channel 10 makes a big deal out of the fact that almost 2 million people a week, or a night, or whatever, watch this show. Australia's population is about 22 million, so that's way less than 1 in 10 people watching. Well big whoop. What a great achievement.

like lemon said... not everyone watches tv... and 1-2 million is considered successful in terms of ratings (in australia). And you have to think about it... (correct me if i'm wrong) but when they calculate the figures and come up with the fact that 2 million tv's were switched on masterchef, you have to realize that there are actually families (of say 4) who watch on one tv so it'd be more then 2 million for sure.
