So do you think this was career suicide for the writer/director?

Or was it all the producers who pulled his strings thus making him like a puppet as they forced him to write and direct this silly movie.
I don't think any producers will touch him if it was all his doing.

I read the script almost 3 years ago and I thought it was really good. No one must have expected this level of fail on execution when they green lit it.

@ afeshs: Did you see the movie? I'm just wondering if the script included a lot more material than the movie since it seems like the movie really skimped on details.

Nah he did what he was paid to do. Plus remember this had no marketing whatsoever, so the studios knew it be a dud, so any real impact would go way above the director.

Well...I don't see him directing anything big anytime soon, but who knows.

I don't think he lacks style....but the movie literally goes nowhere, doesn't explain jack squat, and was very boring.

If not for the sound designer, who is in fact a genious, this film who probably have a zero rating. I am actually sad for the person who did the most work on the sound design, because his talents were uber wasted on this film.

I do give props for whomever made the trailer. It took the absolute best parts of the movie...twisted everything around and made it look decent...which it's not. I am surprised that it's not a lower score actually.

I think Hollywood will understand that Todd Lincoln's film was obviously cut down AND the film's release had been delayed by years.
