I don't think it deserves all the hate it gets. I thought it was an okay horror movie, and I really despise PG-13 horror flicks. I wouldn't buy the movie, but it's worth it to watch if you're looking for a ghost horror film.
"the opening experiment shows some of the participants smiling even though the table they are sitting around is being lifted/shaken."
I haven't seen the movie. But I'm gonna assume the participants were smiling due to fascination and excitement that something was actually happening during the Experiment. It doesn't seem inconsistent to me. *shrugs*
Think I may give it a shot. Sounds like a good Rainy day movie.
I quite liked this film too! It needed a tighter script definitely, there was some issues there. But the premise of the film was terrifying, the ending was chilling &the implications was even more chilling. The idea of entities that feed off of our fears to destroy us, to break us down. Everything the entities did was to destroy their hopes & spirits. From killing the neighbor's dog to the cactus (she liked them both) to showing her her boyfriend being broken & taken.
And when the female character is so broken & just surrenders to the evil at the end made my jaw drop...and was teary too. I'd give it a 6/10.
"I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus." "Didn't he discover America?" "Penfold, shush."
Could you imagine what the movie could've been if so much hadn't gotten cut out?? you could tell it was missing alot. I seriously hope the Director moves onto bigger and better things. It's a shame this flick had so many production issues. It had potential.
