Silly-ish budget
17 million. That seems a bit too much for this kind of movie with so much going against it:
- Difficult genre even at the best of times
- Very little to no star power
- A tired and kind of nonsensical premise
And as if to admit defeat, released at the nigh - dead zone of late August.
Simply put, what was the point in making this movie for the reported budget? Very little potential commercial value; no artistic novelty value; unlikely to get a cult status (not being so bad or camp that it's good), etc. A generic movie to, eh, write off as a loss? Help me out here.
