can't believe I'm 50 minutes into the movie and nothing has happened

Did I see a trailer for a different Apparition?

There's just no substance in this movie, a scary movie can get away with plot, dialogue even acting if it's scary, this has nothing. Paranormal Activity is far better than this. If you write a scary movie, don't write down things that makes you feel anxiety or scared, because then it's just subjective, if you get easily scared, like the writers of this movie obviously, then it wont work for general audience.

The house has unexplained activities, the girl thinks its people, the guy knows it could be supernatural, what do you do, oh you go sleep inside a tent just outside the house, seriously?

Some movies are scary when you can emerge yourself with the character, you are there with them, or you imagine yourself in that situation, it makes you vulnerable. Watching a garage door open by itself when the main characters are away, is not scary, it's nothing.

The reason this is so upsetting is because there are so many students out there who would love to have their movie idea made, and I know people with good ideas, but they don't get those opportunities. These guys had it. There was nothing wrong with cinematography, it looked fine. But they couldn't execute it. At least Ashley Greene makes the movie worth watching. But sadly... that's it.
