The credits showed several random people, but I'm unclear on what it's supposed to mean. Were they other ghosts trying to come through? Other people trapped by Purgatory ghosts in a time before the film's events? I assume there's some kind of explanation behind them.

The spirit is meant to be ancient, I got the impression that they were people it had previously tormented and killed in other eras.

It kept showing close ups of power lines, not just in the credits but throughout the movie...
Whats up with that?
....and I thought I was the only one left that actually sat through the ending credits.
I too am trying to find the significance of all the high power lines that kept flashing in the screen credits as well as in many places during the movie. Perhaps we will learn that the entity can travel via power lines as in 'Shocker'.

Yeah what was with that? I get that it was a new development so they need the lines but why focus on them? OR maybe because they accessed the lines with Patrick to get enough energy to get reverse the entity.
