I liked it!
I don't know maybe bc I expected it to be awful or something but I thought it was really creepy, the acting was kinda cheesy and seemed forced, but it was forgotten after the first 10 minutes or so, and by the 15 minute mark I was genuinely creeped out. That says a LOT BC I have seen every scary/horror/thriller movie since the silent film era and none of them ever scare or creep me out in the least! Blood and guts don't bother me a bit and I don't find People getting slaughtered scary whatsoever, maybe I've seen so many real life murders and horrors that the fake ones Just don't even make me blink. And none of the other gost type haunte or poltergeist movies really scare me either, but I can say bad acting aside that there were multiple parts of this movie that are pretty freakin creepy! This is a movie that you can imagine yourself being victim to sortof bc it's a normal house with normal young adults not some old creaky house no one would stay an hour in much less live in! Plus it's the part that's unseen and left for you to be imagined that makes it even scarier,.lye it was definitely creepy! I was expecting end to be awful bc of everyone's comments but what was supposed to happen? Ben and everyone comes back and live happily ever after! Or she wakes up and it was all imagined? Give me a break that's all been done and so not only was this more original but it made the movie even more creepier than it was already. Maybe people just dnt like what they don't get or they need to see fake blood and guts splattered everywhere to be 'scared' bc they don't have the brains to figure out a psychological thriller bc it'd not spelled out for them in neon letters. This is another one of the very few genuinely creepy movies that people just don't get. Maybe I just don't get people, and no it is NOT bc I grew up in Jax too, I said the acting kind of sucked but it didn't take away that much from the movie and overall I give it high marks bc it was creepier to me than any of the mass supposedly scary movies out there!
