Garage Door etc. (some spoilers, but who cares when a movie is so bad)
So the scene when he leaves the house and closes the garage door...and then after he drives away....the garage door opens. When that happened, I said "How did they do that special effect? Incredible!!! So scary!!! They must have needed a garage door opener!" So funny. Just beautiful.
I'd also like to say that the acting was very funny too. There's a few parts where they laugh at something and I truly have never seen such fake laughter done so badly. Amazing. Another time I laughed really hard is when they're in the car and she says "Where are we going?" and he says nothing...then several seconds go by...and then his phone, which has rang a bunch of times in the movie and it's ALWAYS Patrick, it rings ....and he looks at it for several seconds with an expression of dread...then he looks at her and says "It's Patrick" and they are both reacting like it's a creepy surprise that it's Patrick. Just the bad rhythm and horrible acting in this and lots of other scenes just made me laugh so hard. It's really like they're trying to be as bad actors as they can.
And then there's the little girl that comes up to the car window..."Your house killed my dog."
I also love that in the last minutes of the movie, while she's running through the woods.... there's the voice-over of Patrick explaning what the apparition does to you. There's so many moments in this movie that are just the worst, funniest editing in every way.
I could go on and on...but I'll end with just one more thing...they find the hangers and her clothes all tied in knots....and then when they are outside he's comforting her, convincing her to keep living in the house...explaining the occurances by saying things like "Houses make noises." And then they agree to keep staying at the house...they're really cheery and she's off to work with a smile. Oh man, the podcast "How Did This Get Made" really has to do a show for this movie. Wow. Just AMAZINGLY horrible. Wow.
