OK, so she nails the closet door shut....

...to keep the ghost inside the closet, but then she looks up and she's IN the closet with the crawling ghost -- so she tries to get OUT of the closet by prying the nails out that she just drove in???

Did I miss something here? Did the ghost transport her INTO the closet?

I'm confused. Please help me on this one.

reply

It doesn't really make any sense, but I guess the ghost distorted her perception to make her imagine she was outside the washroom before lifting the veil so to speak and making it clear exactly where she was.

Requiescat in pace, Krystle Papile. I'll always miss you.

reply

Oh, I see. It was a washroom, not a closet. That's why a ghost was crawling out of clothes dryer. Now I get it. She was outside, but she was actually inside before she was outside, so therefore -- inside. Naturally. It all makes sense now.

reply

Nothing about this film actually makes sense, but your logic comes about as close as possible to it.

reply

Don't try to place any logic into anything that happened in this pile of poop.
I mean, we are dealing with scary mold for godssakes.

Plus a 'heroine' who, after seeing the apparition of, presumably, Lydia crawl out of the dryer doesn't actually mention it to anybody . What? She forgot or something - or maybe thought it wasn't relevant ? She expended forty times as much energy on being jealous and angry with him for not telling her about the experiment , or not maybe not telling her he had a girlfriend called Lydia before he knew her. I never did work out what her problem was. She didn't seem all that bothered by all the activity. Well, maybe the sheet part .

reply

I thought it was a copy of her, not the other girl. That's what made it one of the only scary parts to me. Her creepy double crawling out of the corner.

Also thought the entity was some sort of evil tulpa brought into being by the power of stupid Draco boy and the others amped up thoughts then traveling along power lines, sort of like ley lines.

This movie was a mess, though. Eh.

"You were a ghost hunter?"
"..i'm sorry I didn't tell you."
"GET OUT!!!"

I just watched the movie for first time. Right before that scene they said the apparition can alter your perception of reality..so it makes sense in this movies universe.

Movie was utterly horrible by the way.

What good is putting nails in the door anyway? Wouldn't the door need to be wider than the frame for one to nail it shut? Nailing it on the edge of the door would just go out the other side.

I mean, say what you like about the tenets of National Socialism, Dude, at least its an ethos.

her level of stupidity explains why she deserved to die.

She was doing it right... she was driving the nails at a 45 degree angle from the trim. So the nail went through the trim and door jamb, and then into the door to hold it securely.

Originally, the door swung out in to the house, meaning the door is flush to wall in the main house, and recessed inside the laundry room. When she finds herself inside, the door is then flush to the laundry room wall. The entire doorway had been reversed. Ben and Patrick had to kick the door IN, since the door now opened the other way.

What annoyed me even more was that she nailed the freakin' trimming, not the actual door lol. I literally lol'd when I saw that.

reply

Forget that, why is she trying to trap a ghost in a closet? Of all the idiotic things.
