Did they run out of film for this crapfest?

This is some sick joke, right? The trailer for this film looked decent. I dug the premise of people making ghosts real and giving them their power rather than the typical back-from-the-dead scenario, but there was absolutely NONE of that in the actual film, and I paid full price for an hour-long movie with ADD-speed pace (faster than Transformers if you can believe that) and ten minutes of credits.

What in the hell were the producers thinking, and whose bright idea was it to mangle the film so badly?

How the hell was this released theatrically? I'm glad it flopped so miserably.

P.S: When the very final shot of the film is in THE GODDAMN POSTER, you know there were more than a few morons involved in this production.

2/10 for some cool visuals in the hauntings and Draco Malfoy.

If you look in the trivia section, it shows there was some trouble in the production. Plus they cut a lot of stuff out the script. There were more scares from what I remember and I was disappointed when none of them were actually in the film. The director looked pretty pissed off in the premiere pics I've seen of him. A film butchered by the studio methinks.

that's a relief to know. at least i can tell myself that the actors thought the would be making a better film that this.

No kidding! I was wondering why the finished film did not at all reflect the marketing (what little there was).
