The killer's phone ringtone at the beginning?

Anybody know the name of that music? In the beginning of the movie when he was with his girl and his phone rang, pretty cool ringtone :D

I'm sorry if this sounded stupid but I'm not American so I don't know if it's a well known music or not. Thanks.

It's the theme song from The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. If you've never seen it I highly recommend it.

Actually that signal is hint of what this movie is trying to be; a modern take at The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, with a twist.

i'd say it's a generic revenge movie. certainly has that kind of "laid-back" american dust-bowl desert feel/pace about it, reminiscent of No Country For Old Men. but a modern take on The good, The bad & the ugly? it has a fair way to go to those dizzy heights, my friend. & please don't take that as a criticism of this movie. i marked it 8/10, & that was treating it unduly harsh. it's no masterpiece, or even classic. but it is near top of the tree in it's well used genre. that wrestler/scorpion king fella is turning into something of an acter to watch. i hope he gets some decent roles & doesn't end up type-cast as the moody anti-hero so we can see what he's made of.

haha, check out Southland Tales or The Rundown or Get Smart or Be Cool or Race to Witch Mountain or hell even Area 51, Dwayne Johnson is actually a shockingly good actor, especially considering where he came from. He has good comedic timing, he can play neurotic well and while being a big guy gets him typecast as an action star he can still bring depth to those characters, try putting another action star into the roles of neurotic amnesiac boxer or gay bodygaurd or culinary focused bounty hunter or brain dead stereotypical action cop or super double agent and see how they do, Vin Diesel is fun to watch but only when he plays the same character he always plays, we have seen him try to go out of his normal role and it ain't good, same with most action stars, every time I see Dwayne Johnson in a new movie I am continually shocked by how good an actor he is.

I've been searching for that ringtone for years meself. BTW The Good, The Bad and the Ugly, granted that the three leades were Americans, was technically an Italian film, so your not being an American has nothing to do with your lack of knowledge. Rather it's just a lack of interest in Westerns or perhaps you're too young to recognize film classics from the 1960's.

despite gbu being a leone spaghettie western i really doubt much of the foreign world has seen it, its still a clint eastwood movie and a western to boot, wich is a subject i would assume apeals mostly to us americans, not to say there isnt interest from foreigners, i love kungfu movies, and am from the hills of wv so you never know who might like what. but the good bad and ugly is the *beep* its tied with outlaw joesy whales as my favorite clint western.

Of course it was seen in the foreign countries!!

The western spaghetti was very popular world wide, and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly is considered one of Eastwood's best movies as an actor...

I watched it when I was a kid with my dad, and we're from Brazil.

I have many friends from Europe.
Most find "The Old West" very interesting.
Unlike their countrie's past, the old west is fairly well documented, while so much of Europe's past is lost or twisted.
PLus, it really wasn't so long ago.

The good the bad and the ugly is the last of a trilogy. The first is A Fistful Of Dollars, which took 3 years after the release in Europe to get to the USA (even GBU took 1 year to get USA theaters). They had great success in Europe before they went to USA. The World isn't USA and all the others.

Hollywood didn't like the spaghetti western at first, so you got them later than the rest of the world.

For more information, and to pay even greater tribute to "foreign" world cinema, A Fistful Of Dollars was an unofficial remake of Yojimbo by Akira Kurosawa and so was another (this one American) great Western, The Magnificent Seven, which is a remake of Akira Kurosawa, Seven Samurai. Akira Kurosawa is Japanese and considered, even by many Hollywood directors and critics, to be one of the best directors of all time.

Sorry about this, but I hate when SOME Americans think the world is the USA and the rest is just landscape.

Sorry about that. It was meant for vick_mackey. Somehow, it seems, I managed to click the wrong reply button. I read both post and understood what you were trying to say/ask to him.

Maybe I was just too pissed off and didn't see that I was answering, incorrectly, to you.

By the way one of my favorite movie of all time is from your country. Trainspotting.

I'll try to check 800 balas. Even though I have some trouble with spanish movies, because I'm portuguese and their language can seem a little funny to us. It's like they are trying to talk portuguese with some gibberish in between (and they must think the same about portuguese language), but I have seen some good ones, still. Thanks for the suggestion.

Again, sorry about my error.

Spaghetti Westerns were and still are well-liked and respected in all continents. And Leone's films are world-class hits everywhere. I've met fans of THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY in Egypt, Algeria, Japan, all over Europe and South America. It is a favorite in many critics' lists and popular polls all around the globe, and Morricone's score is THE most famous film music theme of all time, bar none, having made the hit charts in different cover versions (particularly one by Hugo Montenegro) in the late '60s/early '70s in many countries. Don't think for a moment that only American films can be international hits. And, yes, the original poster may be too young to be familiar with the tune, but he/she should ask his/her parents: they'll surely know.

reply

Most people over 35 know Leone's films

So The Rock is the good, the Killer is the bad (actor), and the BBT is just the f'n ugly.
