'Faster' - because Driver is faster than Killer?
What am I missing here? The title seems pointless when it doesn't really say much in terms of the movie's context.

Although I believe, and I could be wrong, that it might be an extension of the overall biblical themes that run throughout the movie, as well as or in addition to the various nods that the film makers give to old westerns. As in the idiom "The Quick and the Dead"(if you don't know this phrase then look it up).
If you are "quick" enough or "faster" you can be saved(or redeemed), if not you are as good as dead.
That's how I see it, if anyone has a differing perspective feel free to share.
