Did anyone Prefer the alternate ending?

Just Wondered because i much prefered the second ending because i thought the original ending was a bit of a cop out. Don't get me wrong i really enjoyed this movie but i think they should have gone with the alternate ending! .. Anyone else agree?

Can someone summerize the alternate ending for me?

reply

*Spoilers* It ends in a duel like a Sergio Leone movie, then the English killer dies, and his wife is sad shooting by herself.

That would have been a fantastic ending!! As the film is basically a western, with the young pup gunslinger hitman trying to bump-off the old dog who just come out of jail, on his mission for revenge. The town ain't big enough for the both of 'em.

There's even a preacher man in it!!

Hell yeah!

Watched the film for the first time ever last night, and while I enjoyed the action, I thought the ending really hurt the film because it felt incomplete, especially regarding Killer's storyline as well as Driver's fate.

After having seen the alternate ending just a few minutes ago, I feel it's a shame the film ended up with its heavily abridged ending. It might have been somewhat cliché, but delivered a much more satisfying conclusion and would've warranted a 7 instead of the 6 I rated it on imdb.

Who are they? And what do they want?

I hated the alternate ending. It was so bad I squirmed with embarrassment through the whole showdown. Seriously. All I could think was, "For Christ's sake, guys! Just whip 'em out and measure!"
