Is this the Rock's greatest performance?

I think that this film is the Rock at his best. I wish he would stop doing kiddie fare like Journey 2.

Anybody agree?

I agree.. I think this film was a weird classic and I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I ever would... The Rock is gradually getting better at this stuff and maybe one day he could be the next Schwartzenegger.

I appreciate your comment, but as a German, I have to say, NOBODY could be the next Schwarzenegger.

IMNSHO, Dwayne Johnson is already a better actor than Arnold. I really liked Dwayne's performance in The Rundown, although I didn't much care for the movie itself. The guy has talent. I wish people would get over their snobbery about his wrestling days and give him a fair shake.

Yeah, the office scene (and the lead-up to it) at the beginning was the most hardcore thing I've ever seen: Straight from prison to the office, no questions, no hesitation, just raw badass. Hospital scene was great too.

After I saw this movie, there were 2 conclusions I came to.
1. This was a great movie. It wasn't complicated and didnt try to be clever. It was direct and I loved it.
2. This was Dwayne Johnson's best performance.
The absolute focus on killing his targets.
The ruthlessness.
The ability to convey this without really saying much.
Dwayne Johnson IS the driver and the killer and I honestly can't think of anybody who could've done the role better.
