I'm not saying this will be any good (it looks cloying and generic), and I'm not saying the writers or director are any good (their previous efforts have been collectively terrible).
However, many talented people have done bad work for throwaway studio pictures, and then gone on to actually do some good work. I can't say that these people will, but it's not impossible. So much of the time these people have very little control over those sorts of projects, so when they climb the ladder and get some creative freedom it can be possible for those types to make something more personal and satisfying. Whether these specific people can or not remains to be seen.
Unlikely, but not impossible.
