Isn't this around the same time the Star Trek crew came back in time looking for whales? They could have killed 2 birds with one stone.

The Star Trek crew went back to 1986 to get 2 humpback whales because they had been hunted into extinction. These whales were gray whales, different species. Funny point, tho!
