I say let the Inuit's harvest the whales. It's their way of life. They're going to hunt whales when all the media leaves anyway. It would have saved millions of dollars that would have otherwise been invested. I know - the lefty Liberals much prefer to waste money than invest - but as long as they're spending someone else's money, they are happy.

shareHarvesting of the whales was discussed by the locals. The explanation was there- they don't normally eat this species. Reluctantly, because their harvest had fallen short that season, the board decided to catch/ slaughter them before they changed their minds. So yes they're going to hunt whales, but not this species.

Yeah it'd been a whole lot easier if they would have just mercy-killed them... All along the movie progressed I was thinking to myself "oh they are gonna help save the whales so they can go out and kill them in a week or two".
