And i was right , Zoie Palmer ( Lauren ) is playing the robot .

It is an excellent character for her as she only has to show one range of emotion throughout each episode.

That came out ruder than I meant it 🙊 I actually like her, just wish she would choose a role that allows her to really showcase her talents.

It is disappointing to see the writers refusing to utilize talent. That is what makes the difference between a good show and a great show that hooks everyone who watches. Maybe the writers peruse the message boards and will take not of the audience feedback.

I like Dark Matter too and Killjoys as well. Right now they are great "summer fun" shows, similar to "beach trash" books. Something you can pick up, watch/read without investing too much thought, and enjoy for an hour. Both shows have the potential to be long-running legitimate sci-fi series if they (like you said) mix it up and put some originality into it.

Lost Girl was amazing in the beginning then you can tell the writers took the easy, auto-pilot road. It's a shame because SyFy could be a real contender for the big 4 networks, especially since so many of us are fed up with the big 4 and are looking for new shows and networks to support.

Palmer is being wasted in that series. You see what she's done in Instant Star and The Guard; in Murdoch Mysteries, Call Me Fitz, and Nikita. What she did in The Untitled Work of Paul Shepard and Cold Blooded. Then you watch her in Dark Matter where her performance is hogtied to the restraints of an automaton. How was this role sold to her? Because she's never going to get back the time she's put into this series that she could have put into a film or another tv show that would have done justice to her talent and flair. It was her choice to make, but imo it has not been the best one.
