Damn Season 4 was garbage...

I follow the show in french, so therefore only up to season 4 is shown...

But honestly i was so disapointed in everything of this season... I mean they builded the Wanderer to be a huge thing and not only was he not what we hoped for, but he was soo *beep* They builded him to be this fearsome figure and in the end he was one of the good guy? That whole rivalry with Trick was completely left off. Hell if someone banished me for that long i would had want vengeance.

Then Massimo, he was barely ok as an antagonist until this whole Mother/Father thing with Vex and The Morrigan, damn man it annoyed me so badly how stupid he became.

The Ounamen or sorry if i mispell it, they come out of nowhere, there supose to be that big power, turning the powers against the caster but then they end up being beaten by what? Punches and Kicks? Lame

The first episode as a whole that left me really like "wtf is happening"

The transition between each episode, damn i never saw such badly done transition... Its like the show could had use a couple more episode for sure.

Season 2 felt overlong, and the payoff was disapointing but it felt much better than this whole thing. Its like they made some backstory left and right to make new arcs that just got nowhere. The whole end with the horse that is supose to be a big baddy again(feel just like The Garuda again) but also Bo's father? Huh...ok.

No really i was so much disapointed by this season. Oh almost forgot, Vex and The Morrigan seem to go nowhere and are there just to be there... Never understood the point of having Vex cut his hand that was kinda rotting only to have it put back into place but somwhat the rotting was done and out...

I really hope season 5 is much better. From what i understand you guys are mid season ? Don't understand how this... usually a show is never mid season in the summer but anyway. Ill wait til the french version come out, watch it, and judge it then... But its another show that seem to have lost its appeal very early for me.

I mean Season 1 was great, corny a bit at times but that made the charm of it. Season 2 was great for a while, the payoff was a bit disapointing but still a good season. Season 3 was alright, but the whole "awakening" or whatever its call (i translate from the french word) was really a disapointement. I was hoping the darkness in Bo was something much much better than this. Then the whole Wanderer wich end up in season 4 to be a huge disapointement...

Anyway i see people being sad the show is gonna be over, but considering how its going its probably a good thing.... its like they ran off idea. It seem it happen too often, shows kinda reach there peaks and then become a shadow of there former selves...

For Supernatural it happened in season 6, and it keep dragging and dragging to a point its almost ridiculous...

For Lost Girl it was season 3.

Anyway obviously this is my personal opinion...

Alice is the worst character of all time, she need to die in the last movie. Chris/Jill are RE !!!

"Garbage" is a stronger word than I would use, but Season 4 is certainly the weakest of the Lost Girl seasons. While did enjoy a few individual episodes in it, I do agree with most of your criticisms as well. Especially how they handled the Wanderer, which was abysmal. I don't think anyone likes Rainer.

I really hope season 5 is much better.
In my opinion it is better, maybe not as good as Seasons 1 and 2 (which I thought were great), but much better than Season 4.

Yes, we are mid-season right now, which has been somewhat irritating. They split the season in half, with a 8 month long gap in between them, just to stretch it out and take up more time on their schedule.

I actually generally agree with all this too, my opinion of Season 2 might be a little higher than yours though.

Ok maybe Garbage was a bit too strong but a colossal disapointement would certainly fit. Its a bad season... Yes there was a couple good episodes as stand alones but the arcs where very bad or should i say just badly executed. When the best part is actually Kenzie dying, while she was the heart and soul of the show, you realize there is a huge problem.... (When i say best part i mean as emotional value and as a scene itself, it suck she is gone, i think she is everybody's favourite character... she is surely for me)

Splitting a season in 2 years... especially a season that is not even 22 episodes, thats really a first for me, must be indeed very annoying. Thats why beside Supernatural that i started to follow in original english version a while ago (right after season 1, wich i downloaded in 1 go) i now always wait for shows to have at least 2-3 seasons aired, then i either download them if possible or buy the DVDs, sometimes i download anyway in season 1 but wait for a while before watching. That way i can avoid the gaps in airing... I guess im not a fan of TV settings and there crappy schedule.

I supose it comes from my french canadian background. Here we do run usually 1-2 year behind, but the channels show the whole season in almost 1 go, they only take a break for hollidays, then in march its over, they just rerun the season... always prefered this to the american original showing where they cut when they see fit for breaks of 3-4 weeks randomly...

Sorry for this little rent... lol. I guess i hate waiting to see whats next. Hell thanks god i watched season 4 of LG in one go(more or less in 3 days) cause if i didn't ... damn i would had been a Lost Boy for sure... lol i hate trouble following it chaining episodes... imagine if waiting weeks between them...

Get used to it. Because Lost Girl is not the first and only cable tv series to split one season into two parts. Other cable tv series have done it and more will be doing it in the future. Take Mad Men as an example: season 7 (final season) had 14 episodes split into two parts. Part 1 (7 episodes) premiered on April 13, 2014 and Part 2 (7 episodes) on April 5, 2015. That's 12 months between each part.

Also, a cable tv series going months between seasons (even one year) is catching on. Take Continuum as an example: season 3 ended on June 22, 2014 and season 4 (final season) begins September 4, 2015. That's 15 months between seasons.

P.S. Season 5 is a very good season. It's made clever use of mythological powerhouse characters and Anna Silk isn't slapped with heavy duty makeup as they did for season 4. There are surprises and it's important to listen to the dialog because of what is being hinted. In my estimation, when all is said and done, season 5 is going to be on the same level as season 1.

I have just finished Season 4 and was disappointed. not in the overall plot but in the Kenzi/Hale romance. It just seemed to come out of nowhere in the middle of the season. In the previous 3 1/2 season there was only one episode where romantic feelings between the two was hinted at.

In addition to this that I just see Hale as too old for Kensi, by that I mean it seemed that T.C. Collins is in his mid to late 30's and Kensi (according to her gravestone) was 23. Their entire romantic relations ship is like a teenage love affair. It was 99% sex.

There is also the thing (and this is probably more my thing only) where it seems a show cannot just have a person who is single on it. EVERYONE at some point gets paired off with someone.

Anyway, that was my rant.
