Your two favorites had to die. That's been coming for a long long time.
Trick was the Blood King whose hubris and vanity created the Fae divide and The Una Mens to control the Fae universe. Becoming "Trick" did not erase that.
Aife was a maniacal murderer responsible for killing Dark and Light Elders.
Both of them were responsible for death and destruction in the Fae world and both had to eventually pay the price for it.
This was a very good episode and the closest the series has come to the feel of Season 1 -- particularly the dark and gruesome pilot for the series, Vexed (1x08).
I don't care about Aife- first and foremost was when they killed Kenzi.
