If this had been just another regular episode during the season, I would have liked it. But it is the pre-finale and so I have to say ... WTF.
Kenzi is back with the crew but there seems to be no magic in her character. She is just another character. Vex can't talk. So very sad. How can sick Evony look better then anyone else ? The Light and Dark Fea are still arguing .. boring. Dyson is still boring. Who cares at this late date what Dysons boring son shifts into ? Bo found out "SHE" is the Pyripuss ... So what ? Bo is trying to trick Hades by going evil ... Seen it coming.
So, What do I expect from the finale. A big fight between good and evil. Bo sacrifices herself at some point and Hades goes back to Tartarus. Yes, I think Bo dies. Will she stay dead ? I'm not sure I care anymore.
I have to ask; have I understood things correctly when Lauren stated that there wasn't much info about valkubus birth last ep, and now we understand by hades that childbirth kills the mother? And Tasmin and other valkubuses was not aware of this? Have they not wondered where their mothers were all this time in that case? Feels.. weird.
I may have understood things wrongly, I rewinded a few moments last- and this ep.
I think that Tamsin knew but she just didn't say because she didn't want to freak everyone else out considering what was going on. But that's just a guess.
I actually liked the episode, with exception of execution in a few scenes. But for the first time Bo is focused on actually coming up with a plan and not just leaping without looking and hoping for the best. She figured out what the horseshoe is for, has the final solid unbiased truth about her birth, and she's doing exactly what she told Kenzi she was going to do: surrender. She's letting him think he won so they can figure out what his plan is and stop him. It'll be interesting to see what Jacks' actual goal is though. Better not be lame after all this buildup.
The Light and Dark have been fighting for thousands of years, not sure why the idea they still are is so odd. But at least someone finally got through to them, because Bo had zero luck when they were all up against the Garuda.
Kind of annoyed that Mark still lives. (I'm sure the actor is a lovely fella, but Mark irks me so bad.)
She knows. Jack pretty much told us this when he taunted Tamsin about them both knowing it isn't true what she said about her making sure her child won't be corrupted by Jack won't happen.
Your going to plead for every moment of your life even when you know your life will be ending soon.
Remember, Valkyries have multiple lives. They can die and be reborn again like Tamsin did after driving off the cliff in season 2. However, since this is Tamsins last life, it's a permeant death.
But in reality, this Valkyrie birth stuff makes no sense. Who gave birth to Tamsin after she died in season 3 ? Didn't Acacia accuse Tamsin of wanting to get herself a "Wolf" (like Dyson) and pop out a few pups ? Kinda hard to have multiple kids if you die at childbirth. Once again, Lost Girl is making things up as they go along.
Yeah, 3 things raised my eyebrows with this ep. 1 Valkyries dying giving birth-felt immediately like plothole to me. 2 Putting on a microwave and pouring gasoline all over the place starts a fire, I'm no engineer maybe this is possible I dunno, but felt weird that there was a string of fire outside beside bo like she started the fire from the outside though we see the source be the microwave. And 3 vex bleeding from his throat for what seems to by all night, but he survives.
I have a different take on Tamsin. Her character is the most interesting one on the show right now because of all the things she has gone through. I'm NOT a Valkubus shipper, but I thing Tamsin has had the best written story arc this year. Even better then Bo's. RS has to be loving her characters difficulties this year because she is the ONLY actor being challenged by her part. And I'm talking about her story arc over the entire season ... not just now.
I think they have a toaster oven in the clubhouse... not a microwave.
I think she stuffed the toaster oven with papers and turned it on. That allowed the fire to start on a delay. Not sure why they needed Bo to have a line of fire by her feet other then to show she was responsible. But, we already knew she was responsible.
As someone else pointed out on another forum ... Vex's vocal cords were severed and could no longer talk when his neck was cut but he did not bleed out because the cut wasn't deep enough. However, Trick's neck was cut very deep so that he did bleed out BUT he could still talk to Bo before dying.
I figured that Jack cut Vex's throat differently on purpose. He is also a doctor so he would know how to do that.
I guess the line of fire to Bo looked cool but could also be because the gas can was leaky. Or she started two fires, the one on the inside that surrounded them and a second one on the outside. Would be cool if she did that on purpose to make the fire look worse than it was to cover for them all getting out so Hades wouldn't see.
