Sad that they skipped the sex scenes

I know, I'm gonna be THAT guy. But anyway. Three sex scenes in this episode and they cut away from all of them. I can't help but wonder why, since they were never shy about showing them in the past. I kinda... miss them.

imo

If sex scenes involve Anna Silk, lowering the volume on the visual steam began with Season 4 after her maternity. She has never really done a sex scene with a male actor again that comes anywhere close to Bo and Dyson in 1x08 (Vexed); nor the threesome in 1x04 (Faetal Attraction); or the Bo and Lauren eye-poppers of 3x02 (SubterrFaenean) and 3x04 (Fae-de to Black). The last time Silk displayed skin and rousing action was Bo/Dyson with Lauren/Flora in 4x07 (La Fae Epoque).

I suspect that for her, becoming a mom and all that jazz put the kibosh on it.

Could be teevee.

Her husband had said he doesn't like her in sex scenes. Maybe she finally cared about his feelings on the matter.

Why are sex scenes any different than hardcore make out scenes if you think about it? At the end of the day it's all acting. That would annoy me if she stopped doing them because it bothered her husband. She's an actress. He knew the deal. It's all fake with a whole crew watching. There was a quote from Sara Ramirez from Grey's Anatomy on that matter & she was asked about her husband & "sex scenes" & she said if her husband is uncomfortable with it, he doesn't have to watch.

But hopefully she was just giving the typical humorous answer of, of course my husband doesn't like watching me basically "hook up" with other people.

That's a very rational explanation, but that's just how her husband feels. Maybe she should do what Emilia Clarke does in game of thrones. Tell her family members what parts in what episodes to skip since they don't like seeing her naked boobies. At least her grandfather doesn't. I'm not sure about the rest of her family.

Personally I' be thrilled to be married to a woman who has 90% of the characters on the show wanting to have sex with her. Granted it's not real life, but it does reflect it nonetheless.

I mean, her hubby knows what's up, why even watch at all then? His wife is playing a succubus. lol

No one knows why the sex heat has been lowered. One person had a personal theory about her husband being the reason, and you've taken it as if it were gospel.

I, on the other hand, theorized that it was due to her becoming a mom.

We don't know. I don't know. No one knows the reason.

There's been sex this season, but the soft-core some people seem to be preoccupied with has been relegated to our imaginations. Perhaps Anna Silk got sick and tired of the attention she was getting from one-track-mind pervs.

For the record, Anna Silk has said in interviews that sex scenes make her husband uncomfortable and that "she doesn't want to make him uncomfortable." I have no clue whatsoever if that sentiment is reflected in this seasons PG love making.

I know all about the interview(s) where Anna Silk talked about her husband's reaction to and opinions about sex scenes. Here's the black-and-white of it.

This is the one (from 2013) where people got the "husband was uncomfortable" from:

On Lost Girl‘s steamy sex scenes…

Seth says… [laughing] “I actually think I’m better with it than Anna would be if our roles were reversed! It’s a job, it’s not real, I get it. But there was one scene that got to me. I don’t know what it was but I had to pause and leave the room. She was actually kind of happy that I believed her chemistry with her co-star. And I was thinking, ‘Congratulations, you’re a great actress, but can we please deal with my feelings for half a second?!'”
Anna says… “At first I felt bad–I never want my husband to be uncomfortable–but then the actor in me was like, ‘Yes! We totally pulled it off!'”

The sex scene he's referring to is the Bo & Dyson bang in 1x08 (Vexed).

Here's one from 2012:

At first, I just got what the show was about and it said, “Bo is a bisexual Succubus who needs sex to heal.” I was like, “Oh, my god!,” and my husband was like, “Was this written by a fratboy? What is this?”

... Was this written by a fratboy ...

Hahahaha that's funny, thanks for the quote.

What the hell are you talking about? I was not taking it as seriously as you think I was, so relax. Yes, one poster had a theory about her husband, which is why that poster & I had a couple hypothetical comments about if that was the reason. Did you even fully read my posts? I was never saying it was the reason why; just basing it off if the other poster was right because of what they heard, hence why I said...
That would annoy me IF she stopped doing them because it bothered her husband.

Then I went onto saying he knew the deal, but I was still going off of my previous discussion of IF!!!

So you kind of just did the same thing to me that you just accused me of doing.

I'm with you. Where ARE the sex scenes? Very disappointed they have gone away with them.
