Opportunity Wasted

Almost 18 months ago, I wrote a post about episode 2x15 (Table for Fae):

In episode 2x15 Bo and Kenzi go on a double date with their boyfriends, Ryan and Nate. Nate is a musician, and he and Kenzi have just returned from his tour. Due to the case she is working Bo and Ryan have to leave lunch early, but Ryan tells Nate he used his connections to set up a meeting with an agent. This agent turns out to be Evony.

Evony can make you rich, but eventually it will cost of your life (her clients are unaware of this). Nate is excited, as he is unaware of the Fae at all, but Kenzi is horrified. After getting Nate out of the room, Kenzi trys to get Evony to leave Nate alone. Evony, in turn, offers Kenzi a bargain. I won't let Nate sign with me, but you'll owe me a favor that I can cash in at anytime. To finish the story Nate is upset that he didn't get to sign with the hot shot agent, and Kenzi is simultaneously worried that she made a deal with the devil and guilty over destroying her boyfriends confidence.

The Morrigan has yet to cash in on this favor, and I really hope that the producers haven't forgotten about this plot line. It excited me then, and I hoped that they would use it effectively. It has never been mentioned since, and I hope it is soon.
The show ran for 3 more years after this episode, and they never squeezed this in. Like I wrote back then, I thought this deal with the Morrigan had a lot of potential for an intriguing storyline. I think it was a major opportunity that was badly wasted. It still would have been wasted, but you think they could have mentioned it in the last few episodes anyway, just to wrap it up.

I liked the finale itself but, in my opinion, this is a specific example of the poor writing that plagued the show in its last couple years.

Other fans in other websites have commented about the series' unfinished business. The questions that were never answered. The subjects that were left hanging in the air.

See comments in these for examples:

Those are all good examples too. Never seeing the 1st Ash again disappoints me as well.

It's possible that they might have filmed a return favor in Evony's last appearance, but was cut for time. Who knows. It is true that the show runners and writers have been asked about this favor many times so we know it was not accidentally forgotten.

Good news about the original Ash.. He is in the new series Heroes Reborn and he is a Evo person who clones himself by cutting off a body part. His name is Harris Prime. Pretty rad character. I'm loving this new series.

Yeah, I know now that it wasn't forgotten. Disappointed it was never taken advantage still though.

That's good for him, I'm pretty sure I've seen him somewhere else too, but I don't remember where. I never saw the original "Heroes" so I haven't watched this series either.

Cle Bennet (The Ash) was in one season of Rookie Blue, another Canadian TV show.

I never saw the first Heroes TV show. But I really love this one. Interesting format.

I may give it a try soon than, now that I need a new unserious show to watch.

There is another TV show I'm looking forward to. It's called Ash vs Evil Dead staring one of my favorite funny actors, Bruce Cambell. It starts Oct 31st (Halloween). It's based on the Evil Dead movies but I never saw those. Many of the same people who were behind Hercules and Xena are part of this. Sam Raimi is behind this too.

I was just talking to someone about this show earlier today. I never saw the Evil Dead movies either, but Bruce Campbell is a funny guy. I was considering watching this show too.
